What does Wilson Pta do?

We provide benifits to Wilson that are beyond the scope of administration staff and budget, like:

• Socializing and Fun!: Wilson PTA coordinates in-school events and education such as the Mavericks Making Better Choices School Tour. We provide a fall and spring social as well as the Spring Color Run. We also contribute food and activities to school events such as Ram Fest and Level Up.
• Help: Wilson PTA coordinates a spring courtyard clean up and donation collections for the counselors and school nurse
• Support: Wilson PTA provides "hospitality" throughout the year to Wilson teacher's and staff to show support and appreciation from Wilson parents, caregivers and our community.

Why should I join PTA?

By joining the PTA, you help us meet Wilson Middle School's needs that are outside the scope of their budget. Also:

• You get great discounts, locally and nationally with Tx PTA member perks. 
• You fund the advocacy voice of parents and teachers.
• You connect with other families and parents getting to know our school, teachers and administrators better.
• When you go a step further and volunteer to help with events—or join our board—you set a fine example for our students to follow and greatly encourage our teachers and staff.
• Meeting attendance and volunteering are not required to join! Joining the PTA is not the same as volunteering. If you choose to volunteer we would LOVE the help—but volunteering is not required nor is meeting attendance though all parents and caregivers are welcome to attend.
